Handmade and one-of-a-kind throw-top with matching display, made from brightly colored red/black laminated hardwood, with red-dyed Box Elder burl wood and white acrylic accents.
The display measures about 3.00" wide at the base, stands 6.75" tall, or 9.00" tall with the top. It is embellished with Rose Engine turnings and has a 1.05" wide handmade color-shifting dichroic glass cabochon embedded into the base.
The top measures about 2.90" at its widest point, stands 4.50" tall (with button) and weighs 170 grams with cord & button (155 grams without the button). It has been hollowed out to reduce weight, and to provide space for cord storage.
The cord measures about 8' in length, with a matching red theme. The button is also made from red-dyed Box Elder burl, and may be lightly press-fit into the top's opening for storage, as shown in the photos.
For the collector of fine and unusual wooden toys or enthusiastic top players. This item is not intended for use by children 3 years of age or younger.

The shop will be closed while I go fishing - reopening in early August.
I make things that spin & go round - stuff that nobody else makes - eclectic, unique, interesting and always different is what I strive for. Many of my lathe turnings are made from exotic and hard to find woods, often embellished with Rose Engine turnings, laminations and encapsulations. Enjoy your visit.
